Magic Carpet Thyme is very easy to grow. It is a ground cover that can be used in many ways. It adds beauty to landscapes, and can be harvested at any time, as long as it’s established. Magic Carpet Thyme (Thymus serpyllum ‘Magic Carpet’) is a creeping thyme that forms a tight grip on the ground that can make an impressive lawn substitute and border plant. Deep green foliage has nice, fresh scent of lemon when stepped on and explodes in late spring with carmine-pink flowers. Use Magic Carpet Thyme around roses, in containers or as a curbside plant. Thyme is deer resistant and very drought tolerant.
