The place where these plants grow will entirely be covered with the flowers during the early months of summer season giving a remarkable look to your garden. These plants have orange red leaves until the time autumn season arrives. In the month of June this plant’s growth is at its best and the flowers that grow are large and pink in color. The foliage however is green blue in color and looks equally attractive. During the time of fall the color of these plants turns to red, yellow and orange that looks superb. The length of these plants can go up to 2 to 3 feet and the width will be somewhere around 3- 4 feet. Full sun will be required for proper growth of these plants and the best thing about them is that they will grow easily in almost all types of soil provided it has medium moisture and is well drained. If you are growing them in your garden or nursery you will need to do the pruning immediately after the flowers appear. If you want to promote the growth of the flowers all you need to do is to remove the faded clusters. Pink spirea is a deciduous variety which would require fertilizers when spring arrives. You will have to use the fertilizers that are meant for trees and shrubs if you want the plants to grow properly. These plants would look amazing when grown on borders or as foundation plantings. The Spirea can be grown easily if you take proper care of these plants and fertilize them at regular intervals. See them flourishing once you give the proper attention and care.
