The Purple Trillium is a wildflower of the genus trillium that can be found throughout much of eastern North America. This low growing deep emerald perennial loves shade and usually produces a single large showy three lobed flower that is generally white with splashes of vibrant red along the border of the center. The Purple Trillium looks just like its name, it literally looks like someone painted the petals, and they are just simply gorgeous. This plant is a great choice to add to any garden in order to enrich the beautiful look of it. You can even plant the Purple Trillium in containers that you keep on your deck or patio.
