Each stunning flower that this beauty produces is about 3-4 inches across and actually grows in a flared upside down position. The flowers grow off of stems which can reach 4-8 inches long. The have almost a leopard dotted-pattern with an orange glow. They bloom during the midsummer months and growing them with bulbs proves extremely efficient. Also referred to as the Turk’s cap lily you will find this beauty in meadows in woodland areas prairie’s and near lakes.
